It is 1928 – Tonight we celebrate the coming together of two families, to be joined by marriage. One family is headed by the rich and powerful self-made man George Barton and one is an aristocratic family who have fallen on hard times financially.
Is this to be a marriage of convenience or does true love exist? Are people trying to stop their hidden secrets from being discovered?
The Mercure Burton upon Trent Newton Park is a grand Italianate-style country manor 4 Star hotel perfect for Murder Mystery breaks. The hotel is situated in 8 acres of private grounds and is a grade-II listed building, former home of the Staffordshire brewer William Worthington.
Guest bedrooms at the Mercure Burton upon Trent are tastefully decorated and many have views of the beautiful landscaped gardens. Guests will receive a delicious 3 course evening meal plus tea and coffee whilst the murder mystery takes place in one of the hotels elegant function rooms. Murder Mystery guests can spend a lazy afternoon with a speciality tea or coffee and read the newspaper in the lounge bar or if you are looking for some country air why not take a scenic drive to The National Forest.
